Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 9 in August. Many people are comparing it with the iPhone X, but can the Galaxy Note 9 beat the iPhone X?

In this article, we compare the iPhone X and Galaxy Note 9 for price, design, screen, battery life, and camera aspects.

Price

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 was launched on 9 August 2018 and went on sale on 24 August 2018. Here are the prices:

  • 128GB: RM 3,699
  • 512GB: RM 4,599

Apple’s iPhone X came out in November 2017. Here are the prices:

  • 64GB: RM 4,857
  • 256GB: RM 5,565

Design

Both have ultra-premium designs and covered in glass. Even if the Galaxy Note 9 has wider bezels on the top and bottom of the display.

Screen

The Galaxy Note 9’s massive 6.4-inch screen dwarfs the iPhone X’s 5.8-inch screen. Although both devices share the similar type of OLED display, Galaxy Note 9’s display is just amazing. Galaxy Note 9’s display is slightly sharper than the iPhone’s X at around 516 pixels per inch versus iPhone X’s 458 pixels per inch. However, by just comparing the size difference between the two devices’ displays, the extra sharpness on the Galaxy Note 9 won’t be significantly visible.

Battery Life

The Galaxy Note 9 has a whopping 4,000mAh battery while the iPhone X has only 2,716 mAh battery. Anyway, a battery’s capacity doesn’t unveil everything about a device’s battery life because it differs depending on the type of smartphone user you are. Even so, I’d expect the Galaxy Note 9 to outlast the iPhone X with such a huge battery capacity.

Camera

The iPhone X captures amazing photos, but Samsung added new features that allow the camera to recognize what you’re capturing and adjust the camera settings for the best shot. Besides that, Samsung also added a feature that will let you know if a shot is “flawed” like motion blur, a person blinking. If it’s too dark from too much light in the background, or because of a smudged camera lens after taking a few shots, and allows you to quickly recapture a shot. Samsung’s smartphone camera since the Galaxy S9 has an adjustable aperture that allows more light to hit the camera sensor in low-light situations. Therefore, the Galaxy Note 9 will be able to take much better low-light shots than the iPhone X.

You’re getting more features with Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 than you get with the iPhone X. Want to get yourself a Galaxy Note 9? Head over to Digi at https://www.samsung.com/my/smartphones/galaxy-note9/ to get yours now!
